Manu Buffara transforms fragrance into a gastronomic experience in collaboration with Lancôme

High gastronomy and perfumery came together in a sensory experience created by chef Manu Buffara in partnership with Lancôme for the launch of the new fragrance La Vie Est Belle Vanille Nude.

The campaign was built around a sensory concept: the idea that both aroma and flavor have the power to awaken memories, emotions, and create new meaningful experiences.

A dessert inspired by memories, sensations, and vanilla

Inspired by the video published on Ju Ferraz’s channel, Manu challenged herself to create her own gastronomic interpretation of the Vanille Nude fragrance.

The result was an exclusive dessert specially developed to translate the perfume’s main olfactory attributes into flavors.

More than just a dessert, the creation was conceived as an extension of the fragrance experience — transforming perfume into texture, aroma into flavor, and memory into experience.

The connection between perfumery and gastronomy

The campaign’s greatest differentiator was precisely the fusion of two highly sensory worlds: fine dining and luxury perfumery.

Throughout the content, Manu showcased the preparation of the recipe while connecting each ingredient and every stage of the creation process to the fragrance’s attributes. Vanilla became the protagonist of the narrative, reinforcing Vanille Nude’s olfactory identity and creating an immersive experience for the audience.

The entire creative direction was designed to keep the fragrance as the central element of the campaign, connecting visuals, storytelling, and gastronomy to its sensory aspects.

Exclusive experience at Restaurante Manu

As an extension of the campaign, the dessert created by Manu Buffara was available exclusively on May 8th and 9th at Restaurante Manu.

The idea was to allow guests to literally “taste” the essence of La Vie Est Belle Vanille Nude through gastronomy.

In addition to the restaurant experience, Lancôme also prepared a special surprise for guests who ordered the dessert during the two-day activation.
